CERTESS® CARBON is a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating technology formed through the PACVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) process. This technology is composed of multiple sublayers using materials such as Cr, CrN, WC, and WCC as a base, with the top layer consisting of an amorphous carbon layer that either contains hydrogen (a-C:H) or is hydrogen-free (ta-C).
CERTESS® CARBON combines high hardness (500–6000 HV) with excellent frictional properties, improving the durability of components while maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness.
