Various machines found in our daily lives are composed of numerous precision metal parts.
These metal parts are formed by metal processing such as cutting and grinding using machine tools.
During such metal processing, “chips” of various shapes are generated.
In addition, coolant is used to cool, lubricate, clean, and prevent rusting during machining.
Chips and coolant are discharged in a mixed state, and if they are reused as they are, the following problems will occur.
Chips are trapped between the metal and the tool, resulting in less accurate machining and more defective products.
