SUS316L clearly has inferior machinability when compared to SUS304. We chose and prepared a knife suited for SUS316L processing. As shown in the photo, the product has a round form, but through trial and error in setup and construction methods, we were able to finish it virtually entirely by machining. The slope at the top of the photo is where the liquid flows, so a severe surface roughness is required. Using optimal cutting tools and processing conditions, we are able to create a high surface roughness even when liquids flow through it. Combination insert molding machine in pursuit of high value added with unique ideas 'PIM' is an epoch-making progressive insert molding system developed from a new idea : harmonization of conventional technologies into one. More specifically, press working was combined with plastic molding to realize the combination insert molding system. We are also using this system for processing multiple products and small-lot products by changing the dies. This is another cost reduction system for material cost and running cost as well.
