TDC’s precision polishing technology can polish down to Ra1nm on a variety of materials, including metal, ceramics, semiconductor, glass, and other materials. By applying this precision polishing, the manufacture of high precision products with achievement of flatness of 01μ, parallelism of 05μ, and straightness/step of ±05μ is possible.
Work area is 01φ~φ1500. (We are currently testing oversize polishing. If you would like to consider doing oversize polishing, please contact us for more details.)

We not only can lap process on different types of materials, but also can lap on coated surface or used as preparation for coating.
Oddly enough, most customers do not know that lapping can be used as pre-coating and do receive questions regards to it.
<Example1: Alumina thermal sprayed surface>
To improve precision and life of currently used surface plate, we applied alumina thermal spray which eventually led to improved flatness and surface hardness. (Recommended for those customers who are currently using cast iron surface plates.)
<Example2: Ni plated surface/NiP plated surface>
Applied lapping to Ni and NiP plated surface which then used as adsorption face, reflecting face and pattern treatment face.
(Cheap Ni and NiP platting is commonly used to gain antirust effect.)
<Example3: DLC, TiN treatment>
For those surfaces, such as adsorption face, require high specularity and harden surfaces, we applied DLC or TiN treatment to harden the surface.
<Example4: hard anodized aluminum>
We applied hard anodized aluminum onto aluminum base and then lapped anodized aluminum layer. Improved flatness and hardness. It is commonly used for adsorption face.
The picture shows the roughness of single digit nano level foil polishing. We are able to produce up to 100 meter hoop roll.
Not only may we apply mirror polish to long hoop, but also to your desired shapes (thickness of 0.001mm).

Precise adjustment for precision device assembling and mould jig assembling is possible.
In addition to the shape shown on the picture (standard size M2 ~ M8), we can manufacture in your desirable shapes, such as wire mesh and tapetum.
TDC’s spacer is known for its high precision measure.
It may measure up to thickness of±0.001mm/±0.0005mm.
By having mirror surface on front surface, contact surface rigidity is doubled while reducing the deformed rate to half during the tightening.
